Egyptian, Qatari and American officials met in Italy regarding the Gaza ceasefire

The Axios news website, citing American and Zionist officials, says that CIA chief Bill Burns is expected to meet with senior officials of the palace, Egypt, and the Zionist regime in Rome on Sunday and discuss the Gaza ceasefire agreement. It is said that these officials will be the Prime Minister of Qatar, “Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani”, “David Barnia”, the head of the Mossad, and “Abbas Kamel”, the head of the Egyptian Intelligence Service.

A source familiar with the topic of the talks said: “The meeting is not expected to include detailed talks on the remaining gaps and will mainly focus on the strategy of the talks.” It has been said that the Zionist negotiators believe that the meeting in Rome will not lead to progress and doubt that Biden’s pressure on Netanyahu has convinced him to give up some of his new demands.

Earlier, a Zionist official said that Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, in his meeting with Joe Biden at the White House yesterday, pledged to deliver an updated proposal to the mediators. Meanwhile, an informed source told Axios that even after 3 hours of talks, Biden and his advisers are not sure if Netanyahu really wants a deal or if he is just biding his time to prevent his cabinet from collapsing. 

After this meeting, the White House announced in a statement that Biden discussed with the Prime Minister (regime) of Israel the need to “reduce the remaining gaps, finalize the agreement as soon as possible, return the prisoners and reach a lasting end to the war in Gaza.” has emphasised. 

Finishing the cease-fire agreement in Gaza is an important issue for Joe Biden, who only has 6 more months left in office. He intends to consider this issue as one of the foreign political achievements of his period. The Democratic Party also plans to use this issue in favor of Kamala Harris, the party’s most important candidate in the election.
