Pakistan called the Indian Prime Minister’s statement belligerent

Responding to the recent statements of the Indian Prime Minister, Pakistan accused its eastern neighbor of warmongering and said that Islamabad is ready to counter New Delhi's aggressive actions.

IRNA- In response to the recent statements of the Indian Prime Minister against that country, Pakistan accused its eastern neighbor of warmongering and said: New Delhi insults others under the pretext of terrorism. Meanwhile, Pakistan is ready to counter India’s aggressive actions.

This country condemned the recent statements of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who called Pakistan a sponsor of terrorism in a speech in the Kargil region, and considered it warmongering.

In the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, it is stated: Islamabad is ready to counter India’s aggressive actions, however, it is still committed to promoting peace and stability in the region.

In the continuation of this statement, it is said: Instead of insulting others for terrorism, India should think about the campaign of organizing targeted assassinations, subversion and extraterritorial terrorism. Pakistan is determined in its intention and ability to protect its sovereignty against any aggression, an example of which is the strong response to India’s invasion in February 2019 (referring to the air battle between these two countries on March 8, 2017).

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry added: The warlike approach weakens regional peace and has completely opposite results for solving the long-term disputes between the two countries, especially in the main dispute, namely Jammu and Kashmir.

The Prime Minister of India, in a speech on the occasion of the anniversary of the Kargil war in the disputed region of Kashmir, warned Pakistan about supporting terrorism and proxy war.

Pakistan and India, as the two nuclear powers of South Asia, have been experiencing the lowest level of relations in their turbulent history for the past five years. The decision of the New Delhi government to cancel the special privileges of the Jammu and Kashmir region (under Indian control), which was also approved by the Supreme Court of this country late last year, is the main cause of the deadlock in the relations between the two neighboring countries.
