Lukashenko: We are expanding cooperation with North Korea

This message was sent by the President of Belarus in response to Pyongyang’s congratulatory message on the occasion of the National Day of Belarus.

Both North Korea and Belarus have close relations with Russia, which has faced serious sanctions from Western countries, especially the United States, since 2022 following its attack on Ukraine.

Also, “Maxim Vladimirovich Rosenkov”, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, recently visited North Korea and met with the officials of this country, including the Prime Minister Kim Tok-hun and the Foreign Minister of this Asian country, Cho Sun Hui.

North Korea’s official news agency KCNA also reported that the country’s foreign minister had a discussion with the Belarusian foreign minister about the comprehensive deepening of relations between Pyongyang and Minsk.
