Georgieva also said efforts to curb inflation must continue, warning that despite good progress, “the work is not done yet.”
He said central banks should “resist cutting prices too soon”, but also avoid waiting too long and slowing economic activity.
He welcomed the willingness of the G20 to tax billionaires, stating that “many countries have opportunities to tax the wealthy more effectively by closing loopholes, sharing information and strengthening capital income taxes.”
