Displacement of 180,000 Palestinians in Khan Yunis in 4 days

The United Nations announced that more than 180,000 Palestinians have been displaced in just the last 4 days and in the intense clashes around the city of Khan Yunis in the south of the Gaza Strip

report Mehr News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs announced that the widespread hostile actions in the Khan Yunis region, which have been more than 9 months since the start of the war between the Zionist regime and Hamas follows, has caused a new wave of internal displacement in different areas of Gaza.

This statement adds that about 182,000 Palestinians have been displaced from last Monday to Thursday as a result of these conflicts, and hundreds of thousands more are trapped in the east of Khan Yunis.

Eyewitnesses and aid groups emphasized that the clashes around the city of Khan Yunis continued until yesterday evening. Last Monday, the Israeli army issued a warning to evacuate parts of Khan Yunis, even though Khan Yunis was previously declared as a safe area.

According to United Nations statistics, the vast majority of the residents of Gaza, who number more than 2.4 million people, at least once in recent months due to the escalation Conflicts are displaced.

On the other hand, the Israeli army announced this Saturday morning that it will expand the scope of its military operations in the city of Khan Yunis in the south of the Gaza Strip.

The Zionist occupying army asked thousands of Palestinian refugees in al-Mawasi area to leave immediately. The spokesman of the Zionist regime claimed that the expansion of the scope of the army’s operations in Khan Yunis is due to information that shows that Hamas has regained its strength and presence in areas of this city.
