U.S. Republican candidate Donald Trump’s security team privately complained that Pennsylvania police did not notify them of a suspicious person before the shooting at a campaign rally in the state. .
According to the RT report, the Washington Post reported, quoting people familiar with the matter: Secret Service members assigned to protect the former president and his top advisers said they were not informed of the warning, as the suspect named Thomas Mathieu Crooks was identified before the shooting during the July 13 (July 24) elections.
This newspaper reported that about 20 to 25 minutes before the shooting, security forces responsible for fighting snipers noticed Crooks’ strange behavior and sent his photo to the command center.
Earlier, Trump expressed surprise at the failure of security personnel to prevent Crooks from climbing to the roof of the building he shot during a rally in Pennsylvania.
On July 13, during a campaign rally for Trump supporters in Pennsylvania, a bullet hit the former US president’s ear, killing one spectator and injuring two others.
The US Secret Service said it killed the suspect who fired several shots into the platform. According to the New York Post, the shooter was hiding on the roof of a factory building about 100 meters from the stage, outside the area where the ceremony was held.
The FBI is investigating the incident as an assassination attempt and a possible domestic terrorist operation. This office named the suspect as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks.
