Russia: Kiev’s claims about negotiation are a game
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency According to Reuters, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced that Moscow does not pay attention to Kiev’s claims that it is ready for peace talks.
Talking to reporters at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit in Laos, Lavrov said in response to his Ukrainian counterpart’s statements about readiness for negotiations: This is not the first time that he says this and sometimes he says exactly the opposite.
The Russian Foreign Minister stressed that Ukraine is playing on the issue of peace negotiations and the officials of this country disagree on the negotiations.
Zelensky announced earlier this month that he is open to talks with Russia regardless of who is in power. Meanwhile, in the fall of 2022, he signed a decree, based on which he banned all negotiations with the current leadership of Moscow.
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s foreign minister said earlier this week after meeting with his Chinese counterpart that no one can force Kiev to negotiate.
