Lebanon demanded an international investigation regarding the “Majdal Shams” incident

Emphasizing that Hezbollah only targets Zionist military positions, Lebanon's foreign minister called for an international investigation into the Majdal Shams incident.

Abdullah Bou Habib, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lebanon, in a statement on the X social network, called for “international investigations” or “formation of a tripartite committee” regarding yesterday’s incident in the “Majdal Shams” area located in the occupied Golan.

According to The Times of Israel, the tripartite committee refers to the Lebanese military authorities, the Zionist regime and the United Nations peacekeeping forces stationed in Lebanon (UNIFIL). This Lebanese official further emphasized that Hezbollah fighters only target the “military” positions of the Zionists and warned: “Israel’s massive attack on Lebanon will lead to the deterioration of the situation in the region and will cause a regional war.”

The Zionist army announced last night that dozens of people were killed and injured after a rocket fell in the Majdal Shams region of the occupied Golan. This regime further claimed that the mentioned attack was carried out by the Lebanese Hezbollah. Hezbollah immediately denied involvement in the incident and said it had nothing to do with the attack. Several eyewitnesses of this incident have so far confirmed that the interceptor missile launched by Israel’s Iron Dome hit the sports field in the occupied Golan.

“Nasser Kanani”, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of our country, also emphasized today regarding this incident that the Zionist regime with its new scenario seeks to “deviate public opinion” from the crimes in Gaza. He also strongly warned against any new adventure of the Zionist regime towards Lebanon under the pretext of Majdal Shams incident.
