New vandalism in France
The French police announced this Monday, three days after the vandalism incident that targeted high-speed trains a few hours before the opening ceremony of the Olympics, that a new vandalism has affected the country’s fiber optic network.
According to the RT report, the police explained that Paris was not affected by the sabotage of the fiber optic network and that the sabotage affected 6 districts.
Netalis director Nicolas Guillaume said that after the first weekend of the Paris Olympics, France woke up to a new act of sabotage on its infrastructure as long-distance cables were cut overnight.
He explained that the sabotage of these cables has affected several operators, including Netalis, Free and OVH.
It is worth noting that before this, French railways were subjected to a large-scale attack that paralyzed the railway network, especially the country’s high-speed trains (TGV) and caused unrest over the weekend.
Activities of the “Paris 2024 Olympics” began on July 24 (August 3), two days before the official opening, and will continue until August 11.
