Black Lives Matter’s opposition to Kamala Harris’ candidacy
The Black Lives Matter movement opposed the nomination of Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party candidate.
The Black Lives Matter movement called for US primaries to be held and people to be allowed into the Democratic nomination process “to protect democracy”.
The organization said it did not know Harris’ position on the principles of democracy.
“Black Lives Matter” was formed after the death of George Floyd by the police. This movement has marked the largest protests in the history of America with the participation of 26 million people in more than 4700 demonstrations.
