Saying that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is dire, Pope Francis called for a ceasefire in the region.

reported by Mehr News Agency quoted by Anatolia News Agency, Pope Francis, the leader of the world Catholics, during a speech in the Vatican, stated that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is dire, and called for a ceasefire in West Asia.

According to the official Italian news agency “ANSA”, the world Catholic leader said in this speech: I follow the situation in the Middle East (West Asia) with concern.

Pope Francis, stating that the situation in this region is “serious and unstable”, called for a ceasefire in Gaza and added that he prays for the end of the conflicts.

This Vatican official had previously called for an end to conflicts in West Asia in his Sunday prayer on August 4th.
