America has sanctioned 19 individuals and 14 organizations of Belarus for allegedly supporting Moscow
According to Mehr News Agency to Quoting from The Independent, the US Department of Treasury sanctioned 19 individuals and 14 Belarusian entities for allegedly supporting Russia’s war in Ukraine and providing military support to Moscow.
According to the US Department of Treasury, the people who are on Washington’s new sanctions list have been accused of evading sanctions for the benefit of the Belarusian defense institutions and generating income for the close circle of Alexander Lukashenko, the president of Belarus.
This action was carried out under the executive order that US President Joe Biden signed in 2021 with the aim of putting pressure on Lukashenko regarding the accusations against him of suppressing the opposition during his 30 years in power. Lukashenko has denied these accusations.
One of the sanctioned entities, “Pelang”, is the leading Belarusian company in the production of spacecraft parts, satellites and military vehicles, and the US Treasury Department claims that it is an important industrial partner for Russia.
