Mahmoud Abbas goes to Russia
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted by Tass, Mahmoud Abbas, the head of the Palestinian Authority, is going to visit Russia soon.
Abdul Hafez Nofal, the Palestinian ambassador to Russia, announced on Sunday that Mahmoud Abbas will visit Moscow from August 12 to 14.
According to the Palestinian ambassador in Moscow, the head of the Palestinian Authority is expected to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin on August 13.
The Palestinian ambassador in Moscow announced that the head of the Palestinian Authority will arrive in Russia on the afternoon of August 12. He is supposed to meet with President Putin on Tuesday, and before that, Mahmoud Abbas will visit the cemetery of the unknown soldiers in Moscow.
According to the Palestinian ambassador, the main topic of discussion between Abbas and the Russian authorities will be the conflict between Palestine and the Zionist regime and especially the developments in Gaza.
Nofel noted that the situation in Gaza will be on the agenda. They will discuss the role of Russia and what can be done in this regard.
The Palestinian ambassador stressed: We are in a very difficult situation and Russia is a country close to us.
Mahmoud Abbas’s trip will last until August 14, and during this trip he is supposed to meet with the Arab ambassadors present in Russia.
