Relatively severe earthquake in western Syria

reported by Mehr News Agency, the official news agency of Syria, announced the occurrence of a relatively strong earthquake in Hama province in the west of this country.

Syria’s National Seismological Center announced that the epicenter of this earthquake was Salima city in Hama province and its magnitude was 5.2.

The intensity of the earthquake was such that it was felt in other provinces near Hama, including Latakia.

No report has been published yet about the number of casualties and possible damages of this earthquake.
