Iraqi Prime Minister: The number of Arbaeen Hosseini pilgrims reaches 23 million
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted by Al-Malumeh, Iraqi Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammad Shia al-Sudani, visited the operations room of the Ministry of Interior and supervised the implementation of the special security plan for the Hosseini Arbaeen ceremony.
During the meeting with the commanders of the Iraqi security forces, he appreciated the efforts of these forces to ensure the safety of Arbaeen Hosseini pilgrims and predicted that their number will be 23 million pilgrims from inside and reach outside of Iraq.
Al-Sudani stated that more than 140,000 pilgrims enter this country from Iraqi border crossings every day. He clarified that there should not be any confusion and disorder in the movement of pilgrims.
Al-Sudani addressed the security institutions of Iraq and stressed that traffic accidents in this country, especially on pilgrim routes, should be reduced and Iraqi forces should be deployed in all areas. The positions and routes of the pilgrims should be established.
