The French authorities announced that this fighter crashed in the Mediterranean Sea and the pilot’s body was recovered from the water. According to officials, the cause of the accident is under investigation. This air show was part of the 80th anniversary maneuver of the “D-Day” operation, known as “D-Day”.
The acrojet team “Patroy de France” of the French Air Force was supposed to participate in this air show, but the maneuver of this team was canceled after the accident.
This accident happened only two days after two French Air Force fighter planes collided in the south of this country. In that incident, two pilots died and another managed to get out and survive.
