Derailment of 22 passenger train cars in India
Derailment of 22 carriages of a passenger train in northern India caused an accident.
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency, citing Xinhua, the locomotive of a passenger train hit a boulder near Kanpur station, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, India, leading to the derailment of 22 train cars.
Ashwini Vaishnu, the Indian Federal Railways Minister, announced that the incident did not cause any deaths or injuries. According to reports, more than 50 meters of rail has been damaged. Indian railway authorities have ordered an investigation into this incident.
2 people were killed and 20 others injured after 18 carriages of a passenger train derailed in Jharkhand last month. Also, in June, at least 15 people were killed and 60 injured after a freight train and a passenger train collided in West Bengal.
