The execution of a Shiite citizen in Saudi Arabia caused controversy
report Mehr News Agency quoted Arabi 21, a European Saudi organization active in the field of human rights, which is headquartered in Berlin, announced that the Saudi authorities on Saturday arrested a citizen of the Shiite religion of this country on false charges. Members of the Al-Qaeda organization were executed.
This institution added: The execution of this citizen proved once again that the justice system in Saudi Arabia cannot be trusted. This move sends a clear message about Saudi Arabia not adhering to its commitments and promises.
The aforementioned organization accused the Saudi authorities of forging the documents related to the membership of this Shia citizen in Al-Qaeda organization.
The Saudi Ministry of Interior issued a statement announcing that Abdul Majid Al-Nimr, who was arrested in 2018, was convicted for joining a group affiliated with the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda.
Abd al-Majid al-Nimr, the cousin of Nimr al-Nimr, was considered one of the prominent Shiite clerics, who was also executed a few years ago for false reasons.
