The meeting between the foreign ministers of Egypt and the United States
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency, according to Al-Yum Seveni, Egyptian Foreign Minister “Badr Abdel Ati” and American Foreign Minister “Anthony Blinken” met and consulted with each other in the new city of “Elamin” in Egypt.
“Ahmed Abu Zeid”, the official spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, said in this regard: At the beginning of this meeting, the two sides discussed the strategic nature of relations between the two countries and mutual attention to development. And they emphasized its strengthening in line with the interests of the people of Egypt and America.
Abouzid stated that in this meeting, the developments of the Gaza Strip crisis and the efforts of the mediators to reach a ceasefire that includes the exchange of prisoners, the prevention of Palestinian bloodshed and the entry of sufficient Facilitating humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip has been discussed.
He added: Abdul Ati expressed hope that in the new round of talks, we will see Israel’s sincere desire to establish a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
According to Abu Zeid’s statements, the US Secretary of State also claimed to agree with Egypt’s point of view to try to speed up the establishment of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and one of Egypt’s actions in this especially appreciated.
He also stated that the talks in Geneva regarding the Sudan crisis were another axis of consultation between the Egyptian and American foreign ministers.
