Iraqi sources announced new statistics on the number of pilgrims who entered and left this country from the 6th to the 22nd of this month for the Arbaeen ceremony.

According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency, according to the Iraqi Waa news agency, the Border Crossing Organization of Iraq published new statistics on the number of foreign Arbaeen pilgrims this Friday.

Aladdin Al-Qaisi, the spokesman of Iraqi border crossings, announced that from August 6 to August 22, 2024, three million, 280,169 pilgrims will pass through 10 border crossings in Safwan. , Shalamcheh, Al-Sheib, Zarbatiyeh, Al-Munziriya, Al-Qaim, Baghdad Airport, Najaf Airport, Haj Imran and Bashmaq entered Iraq.

He added that 1,878,533 pilgrims also left these crossings during this period.

This is while the Secretariat of the Government Board announced that Al-Sudani ordered Sunday to be an official holiday in all ministries and government institutions at the same time as Hosseini’s Arbaeen Day.

Before this, the provinces of Najaf, Karbala, Babol, Maysan and Basra were also closed separately on the occasion of Arbaeen.
