According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted by Anatolia News Agency, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation with Mohammad Yunus, the chief adviser of the interim government of Bangladesh, on Tuesday.
According to the announcement of this news agency, the bilateral relations between Ankara and Dhaka, international issues and the flood in Bangladesh were the focus of Erdogan and Younes’ conversation.
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in a conversation with the chief adviser of the interim government of Bangladesh, wished success to Yunus and his interim government, and emphasized Ankara’s readiness to help the flood victims of that country.
Bangladesh authorities announced yesterday, Monday, that the death toll from devastating floods caused by relentless monsoon rains and river flooding in this country has increased to 23.
Bangladesh authorities also announced that about 1.24 million families in 11 districts were affected by the recent devastating floods in the country. Especially in remote areas where roads are blocked, rescue efforts are still ongoing.
As the Bangladeshi authorities announced, about 470,000 people have taken shelter in 3,500 shelters in the flooded areas, and 650 medical teams are providing medical services to the victims. .
