Russia: In the current situation, there is no talk of peace with Ukraine
According to Mehr News Agency, Maria Zakharova, the spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, emphasized in an interview with RIA Novosti that Moscow has repeatedly suggested that the crisis in Ukraine be resolved through political and diplomatic means, including the peace initiative of the Russian president.
He also added: The Russian President’s peace initiative is a global and long-term directive to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
According to Zakharova: Recent events have shown that the situation surrounding the Ukraine crisis is far from the beginning of peace talks.
The spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry also said: the invasion of the Zelenskyi regime in the Kursk region was in a way the response of the Ukrainians to the peace initiative of the Russian president.
In the end, Zakharova emphasized that “under the conditions of the current brutal actions of the Ukrainian armed forces, there will be no talk of peace talks with Kiev.”
