Hamas agrees to a seven-day ceasefire in the Gaza Strip

The spokesperson of the Hamas movement announced that this movement has agreed to the proposal of a seven-day ceasefire announced by the UN Secretary General on August 16 to carry out polio vaccination in the Gaza Strip.

reported by Mehr News Agency quoted by Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed news site, the official spokesman of the Palestinian Resistance Movement (Hamas) emphasized this Thursday that since the declaration of a 7-day humanitarian ceasefire by the Secretary General of the United Nations on August 16, this movement has agreed to it.

Jihad Taha further added that Hamas agreed to the seven-day ceasefire proposal, with the aim of providing ground for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) and the United Nations Children’s Fund. United (UNICEF) was in order to carry out polio vaccination in the Gaza Strip.
