According to Mehr News Agency to Quoting from Al Jazeera, with the passing of 11 months since the genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza and the increase of popular protests in different parts of the world, the British government claimed that one of the reasons for suspending some arms sales to the Zionist regime was “humanitarian concerns and mistreatment of Palestinian prisoners”. .
On Monday, Britain announced it was suspending arms licenses to Tel Aviv over “concerns that they could be used for serious violations of international human rights.”
British Foreign Minister David Lammy announced in front of members of parliament that London has suspended about 30 licenses out of 350 for the sale of weapons to the Zionist regime.
Lammy said the decision was made after “observing the clear risk of British arms export licenses being used to commit serious violations of international human rights”.
He added that this suspension does not mean a complete embargo on arms exports to the Zionist regime and does not include F-35 aircraft components and will not affect the security of this regime.
