France’s donation of frozen Russian assets to Ukraine

According to this media, this figure is part of the proceeds from the freezing of Russian assets by the European Union.
The European Commission has agreed to use this funding to quickly acquire priority equipment for Ukraine from French industry, such as ammunition, artillery and anti-aircraft equipment for 2024.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia had previously issued a statement and declared: Freezing Russian assets, as well as any subsequent action related to it or using these assets, is completely illegal. Freezing Russian assets and subsequent actions will be considered theft. Such actions will be met with a reciprocal response from Moscow.
