8% decrease in container shipping rates

Analysts believe that the reason for the decrease in rates is the decrease in demand. According to analysts at the Drewry Institute, shipping rates between Asia and Europe are expected to decrease in the coming weeks due to the possible threat of a strike by the Port Workers International Association of America, and rates rose 16 percent to $304 last week on the Rotterdam-New York route. found and reached $2,212 per 40-foot container.
