“Al-Sisi” and “Borrell” consultation axes in Cairo
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr news agency quoted Cairo 24, today, Monday, “Joseph Borrell” in charge of the foreign policy of the European Union, along with a high-level European delegation, met and consulted with the President of Egypt, “Abd al-Fattah al-Sisi.”
“Ahmed Fahmy”, the spokesman of the Egyptian presidential institution, announced that the focus of this meeting was on the situation in the Gaza Strip and the Middle East, and during that Egypt’s mediation efforts to establish a ceasefire in The Gaza Strip and the exchange of prisoners between the Zionist regime and the Palestinian resistance have been discussed.
Also, in this meeting, Al-Sisi and Burrell discussed the preparation of the path for the implementation of a two-state solution in Palestine.
Also, in the meeting with the head of foreign policy of the European Union and his accompanying delegation, the President of Egypt also pointed out the dangers of continuous tension-causing measures in the region, on the responsibilities of the international community and the European Union. He stressed for more pressure to realize the ceasefire and end the violence in the West Bank.
