Diana Johnson, the British Minister for Police and Crime Prevention, was speaking at a conference for senior police officers when her purse was stolen.
The incident happened on Tuesday at the annual conference of the Police Superintendents Association (PSA) in Kenilworth. Police reported that they are investigating a robbery at the hotel hosting the event. According to the police, a 56-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft and later released on bail.
