Security Council meeting about sending humanitarian aid to Gaza

The Security Council will hold a meeting today Monday to review the sending of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News quoted by Al24 channel, the Security Council will hold a meeting today Monday to review the sending of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

In this meeting, “Sigrid Kag”, the senior UN coordinator for humanitarian affairs and reconstruction in Gaza, is supposed to review the implementation of Security Council Resolution 2720.

Last December, the Security Council issued a resolution calling for immediate measures to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza and to establish a ceasefire in the region.

Jorge Moreira da Silo, executive director of the United Nations Project Services Office, is also scheduled to hold a press conference regarding this meeting.

Previously, EU foreign policy official Joseph Burrell called for facilitating the entry of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
