Sending suspicious packages to US authorities

The American media announced that the authorities of at least 5 states of the country recently received packages containing suspicious substances.

According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News, American media announced that the state and election officials of at least 5 states of this country recently received suspicious packages.

According to the Associated Press, so far no reports have been published about the presence of dangerous substances in the packages and the US Federal Bureau of Investigation ( FBI) and the US Postal Service announced that they have started an investigation in this area.

Packages with powder-like contents were sent to state and election officials in Nebraska, Tennessee, Wyoming, Oklahoma and Iowa, according to the Hill website.

In most cases, the ingredients in the packages appear to be safe, according to Hill’s report. Officials in Oklahoma have determined that materials sent to the state election office contained flour. In Nebraska, the materials have been tested and proven to be safe.

The American media announced in June last year that more than 30 letters containing suspicious white powder were sent to representatives and officials of the state of Kansas.

Kansas Legal Administrative Services Director Tom Day confirmed the news, saying the Kansas State Patrol notified his office about the mailings and that the letters contained addresses. Return is Kansas City or Topeka.

Tom Day added that the letters were sent to lawmakers at their homes and then turned over to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment, the state fire marshal’s office and local police and fire departments are also investigating the suspicious powder in the mail and the sender.

Sending a poisonous letter to politicians in America is a matter of history, and in 2013, the American authorities reported sending a poisonous threatening letter to the address of Barack Obama. At the time, US officials said the letter was similar to threatening letters sent to New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg. The United States Secret Service, which is in charge of protecting the life of the president, said that the letter was intercepted and that the Federal Police (FBI) investigators are investigating it.

In the poisonous letters that were sent to the mayor of New York, his support for the plan to tighten gun control in America was mentioned. The police announced that the initial test of this letter sent to Bloomberg indicated the presence of ricin poison. Raisin poison has natural roots and is obtained from the castor plant, but its toxicity is a thousand times higher than cyanide poison.

Also in 2017, American officials announced that they were investigating the origin of two letters containing toxic substances sent to senior military officials in the Pentagon, as well as a contaminated letter. The other is the President of the United States. At the time, the US Secret Service issued a statement confirming the mailing of a suspicious package to President Trump. A Pentagon official told the Associated Press at the time that these letters had been handed over to the FBI for further investigation, although none of the two contaminated letters entered the Defense Department building.
