Peskov: The Collective Security Treaty Organization is not a threat to Armenia

Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman of the Russian presidency, announced on Wednesday that Moscow and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who claims that the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) It is a threat to this country, it is against.
Kremlin spokesman said in response to journalists’ questions that the choice of strategic and tactical development paths depends on Armenia, but Russia should definitely disagree with Mr. Pashinyan in this regard.
Pskov emphasized: The Collective Security Treaty Organization cannot and does not pose any threat to the sovereignty of Armenia, but on the contrary: this organization serves to protect the sovereignty of the member states.
The Kremlin spokesman added that Russia will patiently explain this position to the leadership of Armenia.
He reminded that Armenia is a close partner of Russia and Moscow has maintained its relations with Armenia and will definitely continue to do so.
Pashinian previously said that Armenia has suspended its participation in the Collective Security Treaty Organization due to the threat of sovereignty. He said that this institution threatens the security, existence and sovereignty of Armenia in the future.
