Taliban representative’s apology to the people of Iran + video

The representative of the Taliban in Tehran said: "I never intended to disrespect the anthem of the Islamic Republic and if the people of Iran were offended, I apologize."

According toMehr News Agency to According to Tolo, the representative of the Taliban in Tehran apologized for acting outside of diplomatic customs at the Islamic Unity Conference this Friday.

In this regard, he said that in no way did he intend to disrespect the anthem of the Islamic Republic of Iran and he acted according to his custom and tradition.

This official of the interim Taliban government added: I apologize if the people of Iran were offended.

Taliban representative did not rise yesterday during the playing of Iran’s national anthem at the Islamic Unity Conference.
