Security Council meeting about Lebanon explosions

Rosemary Di Carlo, the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, said in the opening speech of this meeting: Now More than one hundred thousand residents of south Lebanon and 60 thousand residents of the north of the occupied territories have been evacuated due to the exchange of fire between the parties. He requested for the establishment of a ceasefire in Gaza as a background to the unrest in Lebanon, adding: the risk of spreading this conflict to other regions of the Middle East is very serious. This issue is a serious danger for Lebanon, Israel, and the entire region in general.
The representative of Slovenia, as a non-permanent member of the Security Council, said in this meeting: We are witnessing that Israel has turned communication equipment into weapons. The explosion of pager devices is a serious development in the field of war. The death of civilians in this series of explosions is a cause for concern.
