The United States supports India’s entry into the United Nations Security Council

The US government announced that it supports India's efforts to be added to the UN Security Council.

According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency Citing Indiatoday, the US government announced that it supports India’s efforts to get a seat on the UN Security Council.

This news comes after the meeting between US President Joe Biden and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the Group of Leaders meeting. “Quad” was announced in the city of “Wilmington” in the state of Delaware, USA.

U.S. President Joe Biden and the Prime Ministers of India, Japan and Australia after the quadruple “Quad” meeting released a statement without mentioning Russia on “the need for a peaceful solution” and long-term for the war in Ukraine”.

In this statement, it is stated that “We emphasize the need for a comprehensive, just and sustainable peace, in accordance with international laws and goals and the United Nations Charter, including respect We emphasize sovereignty and territorial integrity.”

Quad (four) as its name suggests, it includes the four countries of America, India, Japan and Australia. Sometimes it is also called Quadrilateral Security Dialogue. Quad was launched in 2007 with the initiative of the late Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe as an informal consultative mechanism for four countries.
