“Tehrik Taliban” denied involvement in the attack on the convoy of foreign diplomats
reported by Mehr News Agency According to Asushid Press, the terrorist group “Tehrik Taliban” of Pakistan denied playing a role in yesterday’s attack on the convoy carrying foreign ambassadors in the restive region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
During the attack and explosion of the bomb on the way of this convoy that carried diplomats from Russia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Indonesia and Portugal. one security force was killed and four people were injured.
The police vehicle was escorting this convoy to attend a business event in the Swat area when it was targeted by the explosion. Swat region, which was once a Taliban base, has seen an increase in attacks related to terrorist groups.
No individual or group has claimed responsibility for this attack, but Mohammad Khorasani, the spokesperson of “Tehrik Taliban” denied the explosion of explosives planted on the way of the convoy on behalf of this group.
Yesterday’s attack came months after a suicide bomber rammed a car packed with explosives into another car in northwestern Pakistan, killing four Chinese nationals and their Pakistani driver.
