Kremlin: Russia adheres to the UN Charter
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted by Tass, Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov announced on Wednesday that the Kremlin strongly denies the accusations of violating the UN Charter.
Pskov stressed that Russia always acts in accordance with international laws.
The spokesperson of the Russian presidency added further: We do not agree with such an attitude. We have stated this many times: Russia acts in strict compliance with all principles and norms of international law, including situations where it protects its legitimate interests.
Pskov stressed that, of course, Russia is seriously opposed to double standards in the interpretation of international law.
The Kremlin spokesman noted that America and England have a bad history of adopting double standards in the interpretation of international law.
The statements of the Kremlin spokesperson were made in response to the claim of British Foreign Minister David Lammy. The British Foreign Minister had previously announced that Russia had violated the UN Charter.
