The new French foreign minister is visiting Lebanon

According to the Palestinian news channel Elyoum, Macron addressed the recent developments in Lebanon at the United Nations headquarters and expressed concern about the expansion of the scope of the war in Lebanon.
In his speech, he called for the cessation of Israel’s attacks on Lebanon and demanded that this regime adhere to the standards and agreements approved by the United Nations regarding Lebanese affairs.
The French president further announced that the new French foreign minister will visit Lebanon at the end of the week.
In another part of his remarks, the French president addressed the war in Gaza and expressed hope that the ceasefire negotiations in Gaza will be realized with the efforts of third parties, including the United States, Egypt and Qatar.
Following his interview on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Macron once again emphasized the country’s commitment to establishing an independent Palestinian state in the occupied territories.
