A special meeting of the Security Council on Lebanon has begun/Paris 21-day ceasefire plan

The emergency meeting of the UN Security Council started at the request of France to investigate the recent attacks of the Zionist regime on Lebanon; France proposed a 21-day temporary ceasefire with the cooperation of the United States with the aim of achieving a permanent ceasefire.

According to Mehr News Agency to Quoted from Al Mayadin, the meeting of the UN Security Council started this morning local time at the request of France regarding the investigation of the Zionist regime’s attacks on Lebanon.

At the beginning of the extraordinary session of the Security Council, Anthony Guterres, the Secretary General of the United Nations, emphasized in a speech that “Lebanon is on the verge of a civil war and a large number of civilians have died, and Israel continues its deadly attacks.”

The Secretary General of the United Nations added in this meeting: We should all be concerned about the escalation of tension in Lebanon.

Guterres added: We should try to intensify diplomatic consultations for a temporary ceasefire with the aim of sending humanitarian aid and finally establishing lasting peace.

The Secretary General of the United Nations also emphasized that the resolution of the Security Council has been widely violated on the border of Lebanon, and also after the explosion of communication devices in Lebanon, tensions and attacks have peaked.

Guterres also stated that Lebanon needs at least 70 million dollars for the needs of the refugees, whose number is still increasing.

The UN Secretary General added: The parties to the conflict should immediately stop attacking each other.

On the other hand, the permanent representative of the United States in the Security Council, in a speech claiming to be concerned about the number of victims of the war in Lebanon, announced the country’s efforts to expand the scope of the war.

The American representative in the Security Council, while continuing to support the Zionist regime, made provocative statements against Hezbollah regarding the disputed blue border line between Lebanon and Tel Aviv.

Furthermore, French Foreign Minister Stephane Sejournay announced in a speech at the Security Council meeting that today’s situation in Lebanon could reach a point of no return. Israeli attacks have left many victims in Lebanon.

Stefan Sejourneh added: We are cooperating with the US for a temporary ceasefire in Lebanon for 21 days to allow negotiations.

He stated that the American-French proposal for a temporary ceasefire in Lebanon will be published soon; I ask the conflicting parties to accept the ceasefire without delay.

At the same time, Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Ataf also announced the country’s full solidarity with Lebanon against the aggression of the Zionist regime at the UN Security Council meeting.

The representative of Algeria added in this meeting: Israel is looking to turn Lebanon into another Gaza.

Ataf added: The Zionist regime has shown that it is not receptive to peace and considers itself free from any supervision and laws.

In this regard, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin announced in a speech at the meeting of the Security Council that we strongly condemn the large-scale provocative military attack against Lebanon.

The representative of Russia added at the Security Council meeting: We are looking for an immediate stop to the conflicts in Lebanon.
