Seyyed Hassan Abdul Karim Nasrallah, Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon, was born on August 31, 1960 in a Shiite family in the Burj Hammoud area of ​​Mount Lebanon Province. He was the ninth child in a family that had 10 children. His father’s name was Abdul Karim Nasrallah and he was active in fruit and vegetable trade.

He continued his education in An-Najah and San Al-Fil schools, which had a majority of Christian students. With the start of the civil war in Lebanon in 1978 and when he was only 15 years old, he had to return to his family’s original birthplace, Al-Bazurieh, with his family. He continued his education in this area at the Soor School.

Nasrullah later joined the Amal movement and was recognized as the representative of this movement in Al-Bazouriya region of Tyre. Later, he got to know Seyyed Mohammad Gharavi, the imam of Imam Jafar Sadiq (a.s.) mosque, and he suggested that he go to Najaf Ashraf and complete his seminary studies in the seminary of this city.

In Najaf Ashraf, he met Seyyed Abbas Mousavi, the former Secretary General of Hezbollah, and found a strong friendship and relationship with him, a friend who continued to collaborate with him in It led to the establishment of Hezbollah in Lebanon. Nasrallah returned to Lebanon after completing the first stage of his education in 1979 and once again continued his seminary studies, this time in the religious field in Baalbek under the supervision of Ayatollah Seyyed Muhammad Baqir Sadr, the founder of the Dawah movement in Najaf.

The late Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon later became the representative of the Amal movement in the Bekaa region and a member of the central political office of this movement. In 1982, when the Israeli invaders invaded Lebanon, a split was created in the Amal movement and two currents branched off from this movement. The first group was a political movement led by Nabih Bari and the second group was the resistance movement led by Seyyed Abbas Mousavi. He separated from the Amal movement due to the presence of Bashir Jameel in the National Salvation Board, which was later found to be cooperating with the Israelis.

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah assumed the position of deputy head of the Beirut region and then became the head of this region. Some time later, he became the executive head of the Lebanese Hezbollah. Nasrallah was also a member of the Supreme Council of Lebanon’s Hezbollah, which was one of the highest levels of command in this party.

Sayed Martyr of Resistance left Beirut in 1989 and came to the city of Qom in Iran to continue his seminary studies there. In 1991, however, after the changes in the Lebanese political scene and the occurrence of armed conflicts between Lebanon’s Hezbollah and the Amal movement, he was forced to return to Lebanon and once again assumed the executive responsibility of Hezbollah. At that time Seyyed Abbas Mousavi was elected as the Secretary General of Hezbollah and Sheikh Naeem Qasim became his deputy.

After the martyrdom of Seyyed Abbas Mousavi in ​​the air attack of the Zionist regime on February 16, 1992, and while Seyed Hassan Nasrallah was only 35 years old, as the Secretary General of Hezbollah Lebanon was chosen.
