The European Union’s entry into the fight between Türkiye and Germany over Turkish kebab
According to mehr reporter to Quoting from Rashatudi, Turkey and Germany have been in dispute over Turkish kebab for a long time, and the European Union is supposed to set a task to resolve this dispute.
Economist magazine says that although Turkish kebab has Turkish roots, it is very popular in Germany. Turkey believes that the European Union should protect the Turkish kebab as a traditional Turkish food, like the Neopolitan pizza of Italy. If this happens, from now on, Turkish kebab should only be prepared and supplied throughout the European Union according to the Al-Amaili order determined by Turkey.
Alman says that if this happens, the price of Turkish kebab will increase and we may see the production process of this food being affected.
The European Union has announced that Turkey and Germany have only 6 months to reach an agreement with each other, otherwise the EU itself will make a decision in this regard.
In April, based on a preliminary agreement, Brussels agreed to register the Turkish kebab under the name of Turkey, but this action was quickly met with objections from the Germans.
Since the 1970s and with the introduction of Turkish immigrants in Germany, this dish has become popular in this country.
