Escalation of tensions in the Middle East is not in anyone’s interest
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted by Al Jazeera, the leaders of the Group of Seven, including countries with policies close to the United States, issued a statement calling for maximum restraint from all parties to the conflict in the Middle East.
In the joint statement of these seven countries published by the British Prime Minister’s Office, it is stated: The dangerous cycle of attack and retaliation Joyaneh risks getting tensions in the Middle East out of control follows which is not in line with the interests of any of the parties to the conflict.
This statement adds: Therefore, we ask all parties to the conflict to act responsibly and show restraint. We, the leaders of the Group of Seven, express our deep concern over the worsening of the situation in the Middle East. Also, we clearly declare our commitment to defend Israel’s security.
In this statement, Iran’s massive missile attack on the occupied territories is also condemned.
Group seven includes the USA, Germany, France, England, Japan, Italy and Canada. Italy now holds the rotating presidency of the Group of Seven.
