The head of the UN peace operation emphasized the continuation of UNIFIL forces in southern Lebanon despite the threats of the Zionist regime.
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency, citing Al-Nashrah, Jean Pirlacroix, head of UN peacekeeping operations, announced that despite the threats of the Zionist regime, Hafez forces are stationed in the south.
He emphasized: UN peacekeeping forces in southern Lebanon (UNIFIL) are stationed in their positions despite Israel’s request to move. These forces are the only link between the two armies.
Lacroix stated: Peacekeeping forces will do their best to fulfill the role assigned by the Security Council in the current very difficult situation. There is a wonderful plan to deal with the consequences.
He added that UNIFIL forces are still the link between Lebanon and the Zionist regime.
