American officials: We are surprised by the success of Hamas on October 7

Politico magazine quoted US intelligence officials as reporting that they were surprised by the success of Hamas in carrying out the October 7 attack (Tufan al-Aqsa).
These US intelligence officials announced that planning for the October 7 attack took months and maybe years.
Politico wrote, citing US intelligence officials, that the members of the Congress of this country demanded an answer about the Israeli regime’s lack of attention to the October 7 attack.
