The French president said that a brigade consisting of 2,300 Ukrainian soldiers will be equipped by the French army. These forces are currently stationed in northeastern France.

The program of French participation in the training of the Ukrainian military was first announced in June. According to the French government, about 1,500 French soldiers are involved in this program.

Meanwhile, the French Air Force is training Ukrainian pilots and mechanics in the use of Mirage 2000 fighters. Russia has repeatedly warned about any intervention of Western countries in the war in Ukraine.
