Mohammed Baloch, head of the regional police, said: It was a terrorist attack and the mine workers were targeted immediately after starting work. About 50 workers were present at the accident site and some of them managed to escape. Some of the workers were Afghans.

According to a regional official, after the shooting, the armed men set the mining machines on fire. No group has yet claimed responsibility for this attack. According to the police, due to the severity of the injuries of some of the wounded, there is a possibility of increasing the number of victims.

Terrorist attacks in Pakistan have been on the rise this year, so that in the first quarter of this year, the number of victims of these attacks exceeded the total number of victims in 2023.
