Netanyahu: UNIFIL forces must withdraw from southern Lebanon!

In a letter to the UN Secretary General, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime supported the attack of the Israeli army on the United Nations peacekeeping forces (UNIFIL) and demanded their withdrawal from South Lebanon.

reported by Mehr News Agency quoted by Al Jazeera, Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of the Zionist regime, openly supported the attack of the army of this regime on UNIFIL forces in southern Lebanon, claiming that their presence endangers the lives of Israeli prisoners.

Netanyahu also wrote in a letter addressed to Antonio Guterres, the Secretary General of the United Nations, that “UNIFIL forces must withdraw from southern Lebanon.”

He claimed: Refusal to withdraw UNIFIL forces from southern Lebanon means leaving them in the hands of Hezbollah. I tell the Secretary General of the United Nations that refusing to evacuate the UNIFIL forces will turn them into hostages of Hezbollah!

The Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, referring to the condemnation of Tel Aviv’s attack on UNIFIL headquarters in Lebanon by European countries, added: “Unfortunately, some European leaders are pushing in the wrong direction.” Instead of criticizing Israel, they should point the finger of criticism at Hezbollah.

Two UNIFIL forces were injured as a result of the Zionist regime’s attack on the headquarters of these forces in southern Lebanon. The UNIFIL forces also emphasized that the Zionist army has targeted a watch tower in the main command headquarters of these forces in the “Al-Naqourah” area in southern Lebanon.

The Secretary General of the United Nations described the attack as a “violation of international law” in protest against the brutal act of the Zionist regime in the attack on the UNIFIL headquarters in southern Lebanon.
