report Mehr News Agency quoted by Waa, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met and consulted with each other in Baghdad and discussed the relations between the two countries. They discussed the strains and developments of the region and the world.
In this meeting, the Prime Minister of Iraq announced that the priorities of the current Iraqi government regarding the situation in the region are to stop the Zionists’ aggression in Gaza and Lebanon, and to prevent the expansion of the scope of the battle by the regime. The Zionist usurper is supporting the efforts made in this direction and ensuring the security of humanitarian aid reaching the people of Gaza and Lebanon.
Al-Sudani added: Iraq will do everything it can to establish a ceasefire in cooperation with its international partners and friends, especially the EU member states.
The Iraqi Prime Minister stated: The Iraqi government has already warned many times about the (Zionist) regime’s plans to expand the war. This issue has become clear to all friends and it has become a hostile goal of Hoydayi against the international community.
Al-Sudani stressed: Iraq’s efforts to prevent the spread of the conflict ultimately benefit Iraq’s national security, the security of the region and maintaining the stability of its nations.
On the other hand, according to the report of the official Iraqi news agency, during this visit, the foreign minister of our country discussed the positions of Iraq to calm the situation and measures of this country to provide aid to the disaster victims. He has appreciated in Gaza and Lebanon.
Araqchi further emphasized: My meeting was held for more coordination of efforts and consultation regarding the progress of the situation. Iran agrees with Iraq’s efforts to prevent the spread of war.
