Martyrs are eternal treasures for future generations
During the meeting, Imam Khamenei characterized Mazandaran as a remarkable province, highlighting its comprehensive contributions and sacrifices for the Revolution throughout various periods. “The people of Mazandaran have been present in the fight against counter-revolutionaries, during the Sacred Defense, in the Defense of the Shrines, and in every other field where sacrifices and costs were required,” he stated.
He referred to the martyrs as infinite treasures of immense value across all eras. “Each martyr possessed certain characteristics and stories that ultimately led them to achieve the status of martyrdom. These narratives must be carefully extracted from their lives and conveyed to the audience, especially the youth, through various mediums such as books, movies, series, paintings, sculptures, and storytelling,” he remarked.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution interpreted Imam Khomeini’s statement that “it is Muharram and Safar that has kept Islam alive” as reflecting the lively and dynamic essence of martyrdom and the martyrs themselves. “We must keep the memory of the martyrs alive, for they are alive and their remembrance is both a source of inspiration and vitality.”
