Imam Khamenei appoints new representative, Friday Prayer Leader for Zanjan Province

Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khamenei, has appointed Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Mostafa Hosseini as the new Friday Prayer Leader of Zanjan city and as his representative in Zanjan Province.

The text of the Leader’s decree is as follows:

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Dear Hujjat al-Islam Mr. Sayyid Mostafa Hosseini (may his blessings continue)

Given the retirement of Hujjat al-Islam Ali Khatami (may God grant him success), I hereby appoint you, possessing the necessary qualifications and a distinguished record of management and service, particularly in the field of Quranic services, as the Friday Prayer Leader of Zanjan city and as my representative in that province.

The dear people of Zanjan, renowned for their loyalty and love for the Ahl al-Bayt [Household of the Prophet (pbuh)], have followed the clear path of these noble figures with sincerity and courage throughout various events during the Revolution and up to the present day. The expectation from the position of Friday Prayer Leader in that region, which is the birthplace of eminent scholars and religious figures, is to strive to nurture talents and foster intellectual, scientific, and practical growth across the fields of religion, politics, knowledge, and spirituality.

[I advise you to] cherish the pure-hearted youth and to engage with individuals from all walks of life. Dedicate yourself to the practical propagation of religion, while ensuring that the content of your sermons and statements possess the level of richness that is required. I pray for your success from God.
