There is no consensus about Ukraine’s admission to NATO
According to Mehr News Agency to A senior White House official announced today: The United States and Ukraine are actively considering the “Zelensky” plan. The section related to the allocation of military aid to Kyiv is being implemented.
This senior White House official added: Washington is not ready to lift the ban on Ukrainian attacks deep into Russian territory during Biden’s visit to Germany. American officials feel an urgent need for military supplies for Ukraine due to the difficult conditions on the battlefield for Kiev.
The senior White House official added: There is still no consensus on Ukraine’s admission to NATO. Investigations are still ongoing.
Julianne Smith, Washington’s permanent representative in NATO, announced earlier in response to the request of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for an immediate invitation to this military alliance: I think I think NATO’s position on this matter is very clear. We announced at the NATO meeting on its 75th anniversary this summer that Ukraine is on an irreversible path to membership and that Kiev will become a member of the alliance. We are not at a stage where the alliance (NATO) is discussing to issue an invitation (to Ukraine) in the short term. But as always, we will continue to talk to our friends in Ukraine about how they move toward unity.
